Everything isn't okay. Everything isn't better.
Because that's not how it works.
When we fought until dawn the pain was intense. But I remember distinctly knowing just how much more painful it would be to lose you. I felt that pain. And it was every bit as painful as I expected and more.
These days I feel like I'm floating aimlessly, the waves ushering me to and fro and nowhere at the same time.
I've got to find my own way.
And it's so uncomfortable.
But now there is a light.
I know that it's there to guide me home when I've drifted too far.
I can't imagine being without that light again.
